Wrapping up 2015

Well, as we enter the final week of 2015, I am wrapping a few things up on the photography front. The great thing about keeping a library of photographic work is that it is very easy to survey your images and recollect what took place during the year. As the year comes to a close, you can look back over images and easily reflect back on what happened, what was accomplished and perhaps chart a path for the year to come. 2015 featured the following events:


The End of Rockome Gardens

Rockome Gardens was a tourist attraction in the Arthur / Arcola Illinois region for over 50 years. Time and indifference ultimately forced its closure. My wife and I visited the area to watch the auction as the remnants of this central Illinois institution passes into history.


You know you are in a bad art show when…

I obviously need to spend more time doing my homework on the type of shows I book, because it is painfully obvious that organizers of events will market them one way with the reality of what the market will bear not always clear
